Located in scenic Honolulu, Hawaii, the "Diet Coke & Mentos Project" was captured with four cameras simultaneously with help from about fifteen crew members. This school project was inspired by the folks at eepybird.com as well as the TV show MythBusters.
As the summer Movie Maker TAs, Ben Cole, Travis DST, and Taryn Fujita created a music video to the song "So Contagious" by Acceptace. The video is themed as a "Mock Emo" setting making fun of people who over dramatize life. This was the first music video any of the three film makers had done and it took about a week to produce and edit.

A romantic comedy set in a typical high school. This short film was done for a class called Fiction and Film in the Spring of 2007

A group of amateur filmmakers have only 48 hours left to complete their 2 week video project. Failure and bad acting has been their only reward thus far, and as such two of the group members resort to pulling an all-night sleepover to get the project done in time.

A lightsaber special effects demo. The effects were done by creating hundreds of keyframes for each lightsaber beam in the video. The actors held hardsticks while we filmed.
So how do YOU spend your final hours before an exam? This short film illustrates the contrast of how different personalities chose to prepare for difficult tests, and the frustration that these differences can cause. Coincidentally, this video was conceived and produced in the three hours before our math finals. As you can see we didn't study much, but somehow we passed!
