The Gamewell Diaphone is still in use today by the Cape May Fire Dept. in Cape May, New Jersey. The Diaphone is sounded when a box alarm is transmitted. The code that sounds is to indicate where the old fire alarm pull stations were located throughout the town to give the vicinity of the incident. This fedelcode model 5 and diaphone are only tested once a year, so I was lucky to get this one. This is the high tone model 5 going off with the diaphone. I was standing about 30ft. away from the pole when it went off, so it is incredibly loud.
